As for what I'm working on, Caroline's story should be continued until she gets to Whateley, and then I will either go back to Abagail (Red Drake) or Zane (Zelda).

Guarding the Princess 12Lockwell sat and watched Caroline sleep. She had told Serenity everything she had known, which admittedly wasn't much. Just that Caroline was a mutant, healer, mage, the MCO was after her, and that she used to be a guy. She wouldn't have admitted the last part if Serenity hadn't told her she had guessed some time ago.Guarding the Princess 12
After the explanation, Sgt. Carrigan had finally arrived, after having to lose several black vans that had been following the Humvee. Lockwell glanced at him, as he sat on official watch. He glanced back, a raised eyebrow, and she silently shook her head,

Guarding the Princess 11Serenity knelt next to the bed and took Caroline's hand in her own. "You're safe, dear. I'm here, you're not alone. No one's going to hurt you here. Come back to us."Guarding the Princess 11
"You really care about Princess, don't you." Lockwell said, shaking her head.

Guarding the Princess 10"Irish, Princess and team are moving. Psychic screamer disabled, but active hostiles forced evac." Elder reported over the radio. "Team is currently with friendlies called by Falcon's mother, over."Guarding the Princess 10
"Status of Princess and casualty report, over." Sgt. Carrigan ordered.
"Who's hurt, people?" Elder barked out.
"Princess is physically fine, mental state unsure, she's non-responsive to stimuli." Lockwell reported from the floor. A chorus of negative responses from the rest of the vehicle let Elder know they were unhurt.
"One casualty aside from Princ

Guarding the Princess 9Later, in the early evening, the three walked back to the parking garage where they had left the Jeep. Caroline carried a box full of comics as she walked between her guards.Guarding the Princess 9
"That was the funniest damn thing I've ever seen." Elder laughed. "Every one of those nerds was just tripping over themselves to talk to you, if they even had the guts to do more than stare from a distance."
"Just keep on laughing, Army-girl." Lockwell growled. It still hit her just how different the stares she was getting now were from before.
Caroline frowned at Elder. "That's not nice." &nb
